Permeability and Disintegration Characteristics of Composite Improved Phyllite Soil by Red Clay and Cement

The bearing capacity of the phyllite soil subgrade can be greatly improved by red clay, but water stability modified is still poor. Hence, blended has been found to unsuitable for construction high-speed railways. This paper proposes an innovative scheme, adding appropriate amounts cement and clay concurrently, improve soil, which achieves a higher immediately after compaction, while also solving problem insufficient stability. Laboratory tests permeability disintegration characteristics soils cement, both were carried out. test results show that coefficient maximum rate effectively using cement. It was optimal combination scheme add 3% 40% mass. Under coefficient, rate, decreased 90.02%, 90.30%, 99.02%, respectively, compared with soil. microscopic study shows mechanism blending finer particles infill pores among particles, thus reducing its coefficient. mainly from production hard-setting new materials formation cementation network not only increases shear strength reduces ratio work makes full use complementary advantages materials, will provide idea improvement in future.
